Syracuse
Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:39 p.m. Thursday, March 21, South Sycamore Street, east of South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Daniel C. Levernier, 95, North Main Street, Milford; Dustin M. Green, 31, North Syracuse-Webster Road, Syracuse. Levernier told police he was stopped in his vehicle at an intersection and that he thought Green had begun to move forward ahead of him. He said he accelerated and that his vehicle struck the rear of Green’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:12 p.m. Thursday, March 21, South Lake Street, Warsaw. Police reported that a parked vehicle was damaged while unoccupied. Damage up to $1,000.
9:21 a.m. Thursday, March 21, North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Dustin N. Cooper, 31, Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Cooper told police he was driving his car eastbound when he oversteered, causing his vehicle to proceed over a steep concrete embankment and strike a parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
2:57 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, Tiger Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Rhys J. Hill, 18, South CR 300W, Silver Lake. Hill told police he was trying to leave the school grounds and attempted to cut across the parking lot, where he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to collide with several parked cars. Damage up to $10,000.
2:03 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, North Detroit Street, south of Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Melonie S. Williams, 32, West Winona Avenue, Warsaw; Caitlin L. Anderson, 27, South Maple Grove Drive, Warsaw. Williams told police she was driving her vehicle out of the Monteith Tire parking lot and that while she waited to turn left and proceed southbound on SR 15, a driver motioned her ahead. She pulled into the street, not seeing the vehicle driven by Anderson, which caused the collision. Damage up to $5,000.
