State matchups are set for the 109th annual IHSAA Boys Basketball State Championships.

Penn, coached by Al Rhodes, fell short of its second state finals appearance in a 71-42 loss to Carmel in the Class 4-A northern semi-state at Lafayette Jeff. Carmel led the contest 28-8 at the half and rolled to its second straight state finals appearance. Culver Academy will return to the finals for the second straight season in defense of its state title in Class 3-A after beating Marion 57-44 at the historic North Side Gym in Elkhart. CMA is making its third appearance at the state finals in the past eight years.
