Diamond Duo Honored At Grace
WINONA LAKE – Following an outstanding week in Florida, Grace’s baseball team had two players receive recognition for their play.
Xavier Harris was named the NCCAA National Player of the Week, and David Anderson was named the Crossroads League Pitcher of the Week.
Harris’s bat helped Grace to a perfect 6-0 week. Harris hit .500 in six games, extending his current hitting streak to nine games. He racked up 11 hits, 8 RBIs and 3 doubles. He had five hits alone in a sweep of Bethel to start the Crossroads League season.
Anderson went 2-0 from the mound last week. He posted a 1.38 ERA in 13.0 innings with 13 strikeouts. Opponents batted just .213 against him. Additionally, he hit almost .400 from the plate (.393) in six games with 11 hits and 7 RBIs.
The Lancers are the hottest team in the Crossroads League right now with seven consecutive wins. Grace also sits atop the league standings right now with a perfect 3-0 record.
