Police Say North Webster Man Committed Pancake Battery
NORTH WEBSTER — A North Webster man is facing charges after police say a food fight involving flap jacks escalated in front of several small children.
Adrian Arvell James Petrucci, 33, 601 W. Elm St., North Webster, is charged with domestic battery with a child younger than 16 present, a level 6 felony, and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
According to the North Webster Police Department, a woman called the police and reported being battered and told officers over the phone that the suspect would not leave her vehicle. When officers arrived, they interviewed the alleged victim who reportedly told officers that when she called police, the subject, who she identified as Petrucci, left her vehicle.
According to the report, the woman told officers that Petrucci smeared a peanut butter-covered pancake on her face and spit on her. She said two small children were present when the incident occurred.
Police reported talking to Petrucci, who told officers he threw the pancake at the woman after she threw it at him first. According to police, Petrucci has at least one prior conviction for battery, as well as a pending case in Allen County for similar charges.
