CVB Recognizes Departing And Incoming Board Members
WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau recently recognized Staci Young, assistant to the Mayor, City of Warsaw, for six years of service on its board of directors. Young served on the search committee to hire executive director Jill Boggs in 2015 and as secretary for three years.
“Staci’s participation as a board member was stellar. She provided the historical knowledge that was needed during the chief executive leadership transition and gave 100 percent in her agreement to serve as a board member of our organization,” said Bob Jackson, chairperson of the board. “We can’t thank her enough for her service commitment, dedication to vision and positive outlook,” said Jackson.
The CVB welcomed three new board members. Through its nomination and election process, Sheila Wieringa, City of Warsaw’s Parks & Recreation Department; Trace Hansen, Hansen Skating Enterprises, Inc.; and Lindsey Richcreek Parker, Tippycreek Winery, were elected to the board.
The 2019 officers of the board were named. Bob Jackson, Grace College, will serve his second year as Chair, James Hurley, Wyndham Garden Warsaw, is serving as Vice Chair, Nick Hauck, The Village at Winona, is Secretary, and Doug Hanes, First Federal Savings Bank, is serving as Treasurer.
Continuing in their service as board members are Jill Garris, Oakwood Resort; Mindy Truex, Creighton’s Crazy Egg Café & Coffee Bar; Brenda Rigdon, Kosciusko County Community Foundation; Erin Rowland, Rowland Law Office; Matt Metzger, Grace College; Megan McClellan, Syracuse-Wawasee Park Foundation and Trail System; and Bob Abel, Zimmer Biomet.
