Middle School Sports Results: Feb. 21
EDGEWOOD 7TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL 26, TRITON 22
Ava Wetzel had 16 big points as the Tigers fended off Triton Thursday evening. Wetzel added five steals and four rebounds in the win. Dalaney Vilamaa chipped in five points, three rebounds and three assists.
Triton did not immediately report its stats.
LAKEVIEW 7TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL 35, LINCOLN 28
For the second time this season, Lakeview found a way to knock off Lincoln.
Joey Rastrelli led all scorers with 19 points for the Tigers, which move to 14-1 on the season. Abigail Davis and Jael Namfukwe combined to score 11 points in the win.
LAKEVIEW 8TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL 26, LINCOLN 20
A balanced scoring performance pushed Lakeview to the win.
Macy Wayne scored seven points to lead Lakeview (10-5), with the trio of Lauren Grose, Lauren Eastwood and Kinsey Atkins all ending with six points.
NORTHWOOD 7TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL 29, CONCORD 11
Daisie Thomas paced NorthWood (5-5) in the win with eight points and four boards. Joselyn Edwards evened up at seven points and seven steals, and Kat Wingard added five points.
ANGOLA GYMNASTICS 115.95, WAWASEE 110.25
For the third time in as many weeks, Wawasee and Angola met on the middle school gym equipment, and once again, Angola came out ahead.
Eden Scott and Morgan Reel led the way for the Lady Warriors, Scott scoring 9.2 on vault and 9.55 on beam while Reel had an 8.9 on bars and 9.1 on floor. Scott would finish fifth in all-around at 37.05 and Reel was sixth in all-around at 36.65. Reel’s 9.5 on beam and Delaney Delagrange’s 9.4 on beam completed a no-fall beam night for Wawasee.
Angola was led by the 38.85 all-around from Audrey Wilkinson, 38.6 from Marina Bussema and 38.0 from Avery Boyer. Wilkinson hung a 9.95 on beam, 9.8 on bars and 9.6 on vault and Bussema added a 9.7 on floor and 9.9 on beam.
Angola took the JV competition 108-94.6. Top showings for Wawasee inlcuded Brooke Baker’s 32.05 all-around score, which had her take first on vault at 9.1. Zoey Field added a 7.9 on bars and Karissa Boesenberg had a 9.0 on beam.
