Warsaw Man Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Wisconsin Man’s Identity
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after using an individual’s identifying information for an employment application.
Nolman Edilzar Escobar-Gomez, 24, 734 E. Center St., Warsaw, is being charged with identity deception and forgery, both level 6 felonies.
On Oct. 3, 2018, an officer with a Wisconsin police department spoke with a male subject. The subject advised that someone was using his name and identifying information without his permission.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Wisconsin police officers discovered that the subject who stole the Wisconsin man’s identity was working at Packers Sanitation Services, which does work for Maple Leaf Farms in Milford.
On Feb. 12, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department spoke with a subject, later identified as Escobar-Gomez. He admitted to using the male subject’s name and identifying information to fill out an employment application at Packers Sanitation Services on Aug. 12, 2018.
Escobar-Gomez was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 12, with a $5,750 surety and cash bond.
