Heiman Completes Lineman Apprenticeship Program
WARSAW — Kosciusko REMC lineman Brian Heiman recently completed the Rural Electric Apprenticeship Program, offered through the Indiana Electric Cooperatives.
REAP is a four-year program that professionally trains apprentice lineworkers from across Indiana. Graduates complete 576 hours of classroom-related study and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training at their electric cooperative.
Heiman was promoted to journeyman lineman upon his graduation from REAP. As part of his REAP training, Heiman also completed coursework that resulted in his receiving an associate of applied science degree from Ivy Tech State College.
“Brian is a very dedicated and dependable employee,” said Kurt Carver, KREMC manager of engineering and operations. “He is a great addition to our line department. Congratulations Brian, on a job well done.”
