Winona Lake Woman Arrested Following Dispute At Central Park
WARSAW — A Winona Lake woman was arrested following a reported domestic dispute at Central Park in Warsaw.
Elizibeth Likens, 32, 1202 Wooster Road, No. 13, Winona Lake, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a syringe, both level 6 felonies; resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor; and false informing, a class B misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Tuesday, Jan. 8, officers with the Warsaw City Police Department were dispatched to a domestic dispute in Central Park. Upon arrival, the officers observed a female subject attempting to walk away from a male subject.
Both subjects identified themselves and stated that nothing physical happened. A warrant check was performed for the names given, and both individuals were released from the scene.
An officer ran the information given for the male subject through an in-car computer and located a picture from the BMV. The photo did not appear to be of the same person officers had spoken with at Central Park.
Police obtained information that the subjects involved in the verbal dispute at Central Park had falsely identified themselves and that Likens was the female involved.
A search of the area was conducted, and Likens was located. She denied to officers that she was Elizibeth Likens and then fled on foot. Officers were able to catch Likens and placed her under arrest.
Likens was found to be in possession of an Indiana driver’s license with the name “Elizibeth Likens” and a syringe that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Likens reportedly also had a bag that was searched. Inside the bag were five syringes. Two of these syringes field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Likens was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail on Tuesday, Jan. 8, on a $11,400 surety and cash bond.
