Warsaw Man Arrested For Domestic Battery
KOSCIUSKO — A Warsaw man was arrested after kicking a female subject in the face.
Juan Alberto Alonzo-Santos, 44, 3762 W. Old Road 30 21W., Warsaw, is being charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic dispute complaint.
The officer talked with a female subject who said she and Alonzo-Santos had a verbal argument. According to the affidavit of probable cause, the female said the day before the verbal argument, she and Alonzo-Santos had a disagreement when he became angry and kicked her on the left side of her face.
The officer observed redness and scratches on the female’s face and arm. Three children were present in the home when Alonzo-Santos kicked the female. One of the children witnessed Alonzo-Santos kicking the female in the face.
While the officer talked with Alonzo-Santos, he detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Alonzo-Santos’ eyes were bloodshot and watery, and his balance was unstable. He told the officer nothing happened other than an argument on either night in question.
Alonzo-Santos was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Jan. 18, with a $2,750 surety and cash bond.
