Warsaw Rotary Salvation Army Day Nets $32,710.44
WARSAW — The Warsaw Rotary Club met on Friday, Dec. 21, and held its 53rd Annual Rotary Salvation Army Day. The final total collected for the event was $32,710.44 to support the mission of the Army to help others, not only at Christmas but throughout the year.
“That first year a little under $1,000 was collected,” said John Hall, honorary chairman of the event. “Bruce is no longer with us but he would be pleased with this result.”
The Warsaw Rotary Club has had a longtime relationship with the Army when it came to Kosciusko County in 1921. The Warsaw Rotary Club was chartered in 1919.
