WHS Graduate Arrested By ISP
LAGRANGE COUNTY — A traffic stop early Friday, Dec. 7, on the Indiana Toll Road by Indiana State Police, resulted in the arrest of a Michigan man for possessing approximately 100 grams of suspected marijuana.
Johnathon Hulley, 39, Sturgis, Mich., a 1998 graduate of Wawasee High School, was arrested by Indiana State Police on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, class B misdemeanor and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor. He was booked in the LaGrange County Jail.
Trooper Cody Brown reported at approximately 12:51 a.m. he observed a white 2009 Cadillac that was traveling eastbound commit several traffic violations and almost hit an abandoned vehicle parked on the right berm of the Indiana Toll Road. Brown stopped the Cadillac approximately four miles west of the Howe/LaGrange exit near the 117 mile marker.
While speaking to the driver, Hulley, Brown purportedly smelled the odor of raw marijuana. A search of the Cadillac yielded approximately100 grams of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
