Etna Green Clerk-Treasurer Resigns, Vacancy To Be Filled Dec. 21
ETNA GREEN — Kosciusko County Chairman Mike Ragan will be appointing a new Etna Green Clerk-Treasurer at noon, Friday, Dec. 21. Laura Baker, elected Republican Clerk-Treasurer has submitted her resignation effective Dec. 31.
“We would like to thank Laura Baker for her many years of service to the citizens of Etna Green and we wish her well in her future endeavors,” stated Ragan.
Eligible applicants must be a resident of the town of Etna Green, a Republican in good standing and must not have a felony in their history.
Since there are fewer than two people eligible to participate in a precinct committeemen caucus to fill the vacancy, Ragan, according to state statute, will make the appointment, for the remaining expired term. The newly elected clerk-treasurer will take office Jan. 1, 2019.
Declarations of candidacy and statements of economic interests are available at the office of the Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw, and must be notarized and filed with Ragan, no later than 72 hours prior to the appointment or by noon, Tuesday, Dec. 18.
