Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:57 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, North CR 500W and West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Erick E. Owsley, 26, West CR 550N, Warsaw. Owsley told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on CR 500W when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
5:35 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, North SR 15, south of North CR 600W, Leesburg. Drivers: Dustin W. Dillon, 35, EMS T34 Lane, Leesburg; Brittany S. Reese, 18, EMS T34 Lane, Leesburg. Dillon told police he was driving his vehicle on CR 600W and turned to travel south on SR 15, not seeing the vehicle driven by Reese. Dillon pulled into the path of Reese’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Syracuse
Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
3:07 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, East Northshore Drive, west of Hiawatha Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Joan M. Slocum, 60, East Vawter Park Road, Syracuse. Slocum told police she was backing her vehicle out of a driveway when the vehicle sped up after making contact with pavement. The vehicle collided with a pedestrian who was checking her mail. No injuries were reported. Damage less than $750.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6 p.m. Wednesday, Sunday, Nov. 18, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Beth A. Kennedy, 48, East Old Colony Road, Warsaw. Kennedy told police she was driving her vehicle in the parking lot of the Lake Village Shopping Center, attempting to pull into a parking spot when her vehicle hit two pedestrians that she had not previously seen. The pedestrians were an unidentified woman who was carrying her 3-year-old granddaughter. The child later reported back pain. Damage less than $750.
9:01 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, Harrison Street, west of Dubois Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Morgan R. Hepler, 24, West Lovett’s Lane, Warsaw; Noel P. Lindsey, 21, East Lilac Lane, Cromwell. Lindsey told police she was driving her vehicle and was stopped at the Harrison Street stop sign when the vehicle driven by Hepler disregarded the stop sign and turned wide, colliding with her vehicle. Police say Hepler continued driving away from the scene toward the hospital where she was involved in another collision. Damage up to $5,000.
9:01 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, Dubois Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Morgan R. Hepler, 24, West Lovett’s Lane, Warsaw. Police say Hepler’s vehicle, having just been involved in another crash at the intersection of Harrison Street and Dubois Drive, turned off Harrison Street toward the hospital. The vehicle left the roadway and traveled through a grassy area began the access road and the south visitor parking lot. The vehicle then continued through the parking lot, colliding with a parked vehicle. The vehicle left the parking lot, traveled into a muddy area and came to rest after colliding with a small tree. Hospital personnel responded to the scene and gave Hepler medical treatment. According to police, the accident is still under investigation. Damage up to $2,500.
