Ryman Signed And Sealed For Grace
WARSAW – Warsaw Lady Tiger senior guard Maddie Ryman has signed a letter of intent to attend Grace College and study and play basketball for the Lancers after graduation.
Ryman, an All-Northern Lakes Conference selection as a junior, was also named to the Ink Free News First Team All-Area team. A spark plug for the Tigers on the court, Ryman earned a selection to the Lady Tiger Invitational All-Tourney team, and she was Honorable Mention All-State.
As a junior for the Tigers, Ryman led her balanced team in scoring (9.8 ppg) and 3-pointers and shot 77 percent from the free throw line during a 14-8 regular-season run under first-year coach Lenny Krebs. This season in three games, Ryman has averaged 13 points and nearly seven rebounds a night as Warsaw is off to a 1-2 start.
Not only has Ryman been a key component in the Warsaw girls basketball success, she has been instrumental in service work in and around WCHS. A member of the Octagon Club, Ryman has worked with Feed My Starving Children, Tiger Student Athletic Board, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
A Scholar Athlete, Ryman’s 11.78 GPA (12-point scale) has her toward the front of the class academically. Intending to major in elementary education, Ryman will play for coach Dan Davis at Grace. Grace is a member of the Crossroads League, the NCCAA, and the NAIA.
