NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester gave Warsaw a scare, but the Lady Tigers were able to rally and beat the Squires 52-35 Wednesday night in girls buckets.

Warsaw led just 20-17 at the half, but used an efficient third quarter and even better fourth quarter to pull away from the pesky hosts.

Warsaw outscored Manchester 13-6 in the third quarter, then hung 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Maddie Ryman came up big from the line, hitting 8-11 free throws to help her 14 total points to lead the Tigers. She also had five rebounds and two steals in getting the job done on both sides of the court. Kacilyn Krebs added seven points and six rebounds and Brielle Harrison had nine points and four boards.

Manchester’s first loss of the season saw Eva Bazzoni pace the team with 11 points and four rebounds. Emma West and Jimi Cripe each had eight points and two rebounds.

“So proud of the girls’ focus, communication, passion and F.A.M.I.L.Y mindset tonight,” said Manchester head coach Jake Everett. “Our girls were ready to go from the start tonight. We were focused on executing our game plan and that allowed us to be successful early against a solid program.”

Warsaw used a 19-5 third quarter to space out a 45-28 win in the JV game. Adin Um led Warsaw with 11 points and Abby Sanner had 10 points in the win. Morgan Parrett had six points in the Manchester effort.

Warsaw (1-1) will host Tippecanoe Valley Friday night while Manchester (2-1) plays at Maconaquah Saturday night.
