Peugh Joining Taylor Lineup
WARSAW – After a standout career at Warsaw, senior Erin Peugh will make the leap to the next level as a couple other Tigers have done.
Peugh will join current teammate Kacy Bragg as part of the 2019 signing class at Taylor Univeristy to continue her volleyball career. Taylor, which boasts of 2018 Warsaw graduate Nikki Parrett on its roster, also has former Warsaw assistant coach Chandra Hepler on the sidelines.
Peugh was a defensive specialist for the Tigers, which went 29-8 and made its first regional appearance in 14 years this past season. Under coach Rick Ashmore, Peugh primarily worked the back line, but also spent some time as an outside hitter.
For her senior season that included some time injured, Peugh recorded 204 digs and 287 serves received, 45 kills, 19 aces and 12 assists. In her career, Peugh ranks among the best Warsaw has seen in digs, finishing with 1,254, and also ends with a 92 percent serve receive rate (1363/1476).
Taylor, which also has local flavor with Ashley and Haley Harrell from Plymouth and Nicole Sechrist from Triton, currently are 17-16 overall and play Saturday at Grace in the opening round of the Crossroads League tournament.
