WARSAW —  An open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw. Light refreshments will be served and tours of the building will be given.

Following the October 2017 passing of Jerry Titus, Cory Benz purchased the funeral home from Titus’ wife, Kathy. The purchase, made final in December, allowed Kathy to retire and spend more time with her growing family. Benz worked for several years with the Tituses before making the purchase. 

Said Benz, “Titus Funeral Home has a long tradition for providing exceptional funeral care to the Warsaw community. Each year an increasing number of families trust our staff with their loved ones. We are excited to be able to present this beautiful building, and know that the soft, soothing updates will help it to feel more like home.”

Titus Funeral Home was founded by Ned and Maryon Titus. Titus, formally known as Bilby Funeral Home, was established in 1937. Prior to 1976, however, the funeral home was located at the corner of High and Main Streets in downtown Warsaw. Their current location sits on nearly three acres and the 13,000-square-foot building has been completely updated. “Our home has strong roots and ties to the community,” states Benz. “We serve families of all faiths and all economic means and we understand that while those we serve have many common values they also have individual needs and wishes. Our service is based on trust, value and integrity with our first emphasis on the celebration of each individual’s life.” 

Titus Funeral Home offers many amenities including a large community room and full service kitchen. The community room can accommodate families and gatherings of all sizes and has been used to host workshops, meetings and other events. 

The community room, both visitation areas and all of the public spaces boast new flooring, paint, lighting and furniture.
