Mayor Joe Thallemer

FRENCH LICK — Accelerate Indiana Municipalities announced that Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer will serve as 2nd Vice President for the association. He will take office Jan. 1, 2019.

Huntingburg Mayor Denny Spinner was elected to succeed Nashville’s Brenda Young in 2019 as the association’s president. Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson will serve as 1st Vice President.

“2019 is going to be a great year for Aim,” said Aim CEO Matt Greller. “Denny, Karen, and Joe are intensely committed both to their communities and our state. Having a strong Indiana begins with having strong cities and towns. We must continue to expand the network of state leaders and legislators willing to support municipalities for the betterment of Indiana. This team of officers has the drive, talent and focus to do just that.”
