Class 2-A at Maconaquah
TIPPECANOE VALLEY 1, MACONAQUAH 0
It was a historical day in Miami County as Tippecanoe Valley earned its first-ever sectional soccer win.
Harrison Vining got the Vikings on the board in the 19th minute, and the defense did the rest in its finest showing of the season.
The Vikings posted its second shutout of the season, holding the Braves to just six shots in the contest. Alexis Hernandez earned the shutout in goal for the Vikings, making all six stops.
Valley (3-12) will take on Fort Wayne Concordia, a 4-0 winner over Columbia City, in the Maconaquah semi-finals Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Peru and Manchester will play in the second semi-final.

Class 3-A at Homestead
FORT WAYNE WAYNE 1, WARSAW 0
Maybe one of the most shocking scores from the 3-A tournament was Wayne’s upset over Warsaw.
The No. 12 Tigers took 12 shots, but a Herculean effort from keeper Torren Gonzalez, as well as some bad luck in hitting woodwork left Warsaw shut out. The Generals used a goal from Nuang Ket in the 21st minute and had the tally stand up for the upset win.
Warsaw closes at 9-3-6 overall while Fort Wayne Wayne moves onto the Homestead semis at 12-4-1 to meet Huntington North, which beat Fort Wayne North 3-1. The second semi-final at Homestead on Wednesday will have the hosts take on Fort Wayne South.
