Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
12:46 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, South CR 1000W, south of West CR 500S, Mentone. Driver: Leroy C. Markley, 78, North Broadway Street, Mentone. Police said Markley was driving his vehicle northbound on CR 1000W and drove off the left side of the road, causing his vehicle to travel through a ditch and strike a utility pole. Markley was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital with minor bleeding. Damage up to $50,000.
6:50 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, North Lake Street, west of West Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Faron E. Erwin, 40, East Center Street, Warsaw; and Rebecca A. Gamble, 59, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Gamble was yielding for traffic at a roundabout when Erwin’s vehicle rear-ended her. Gamble complained of neck pain and said she would seek medical attention. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:25 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, North Maple Avenue and East Clark Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Marilyn S. McClish, 74, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw; Rex A. Rife, 67, South Braillier Road, Pierceton. McClish told police she was driving her vehicle westbound on Clark Street. She said her visibility of southbound traffic was obscured by a large bush at the intersection, causing her to drive her vehicle into the path of Rife’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
8:02 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, East Old Road 30 and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Brandy L. Horn, 42, North CR 650E, Warsaw; Lindsey A. Hinen, West Buddale Drive, Columbia City. Horn told police she was driving her vehicle westbound on Old Road 30 and thought that Hinen was proceeding into the intersection. Horn was still traveling forward when Hinen stopped at the intersection, causing Horn’s vehicle to collide with the rear of Hinen’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:17 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, Parker Extension, east of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Stephanie M. Mallory, 41, Brightleaf Court, Fort Wayne; and Matthew S. Brown, 33, Arcadia Court, Fort Wayne. Mallory entered the roadway from a private drive. As she began to make a right turn, she struck Brown’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
