Warsaw Police, CPS Check On Household; Find Drugs

WARSAW — When officials with organizations such as Child Protective Services or Bowen Center’s Inpatient Unit have reason to believe there are citizens in danger of being hurt, hurting themselves or others, they initiate what is called a welfare check.
On Wednesday, such a check resulted in the arrest of four people on drug charges:
- Julie Ann Pierce, 45, 3762 W. Old Road 30 Lot 618, Warsaw, was booked for possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, visiting a common nuisance, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct – fight. Pierce was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on $5,250 surety and cash bond.
- Donald P. Dill, Jr., 43, Warsaw, was booked for visiting a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Dill was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on $600 cash bond.
- Hanna Elizabeth Jackson, 20, 3325 Old Colony Road, Warsaw, was booked for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of methamphetamine. Jackson was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on $5,250 surety and cash bond.
- Tyler Lee Goodpaster, 22, 3325 Old Colony Road, Warsaw, was booked for possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance. Goodpaster was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on $5,250 surety and cash bond.
According to the Warsaw Police Department, an official from CPS entered a home on East Old Colony Drive at about 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, which is the residence of Jackson and Goodpaster. Upon entering the residence, drugs and paraphernalia were viewed in plain sight. The Warsaw police officer on the scene called for backup and the four were arrested.
