Boys Soccer Results: Sept. 17
WARSAW 1, FORT WAYNE NORTHROP 1
A redo from poor field conditions earlier in the season had Warsaw and Fort Wayne Northrop meet up Monday night. Not much was settled.
Blake Burns got Warsaw on the board first with an unassisted goal in the second half, but the Bruins would later respond with a penalty kick conversion to knot the score at one.
Harrison Mevis made six saves to keep the tie in tact.
Warsaw moves to 8-2-4 on the season with a huge Northern Lakes Conference matchup in from of them Thursday at Goshen.
NORTHWOOD 3, ELKHART CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 0
The big guns used the big canons Monday to get the job done for the Panthers on its home pitch.
Landon Parker, Jerson Sanchez and Sebastian Guillen all scored while Andre DeFreitas had two assists and Marshall Beebe helped on another.
NorthWood’s defense was sharp, holding ECA to just two shots on target, both were corralled by Luke Lingle for his third shutout of the season.
NorthWood sits at 5-5-1 overall and will host Elkhart Memorial Tuesday in NLC play.
