WCS Receives Equipment Donation From Da-Lite
WARSAW — The Warsaw Community Schools’ Board of Trustees applauded a recent donation from one of Warsaw’s more prominent businesses.
According to Chief Technology Officer Brad Hagg, the school system has been the past recipient of equipment donations from Da-Lite Screen of Warsaw. At Tuesday’s board work session, Hagg told the board that the company was at it again, to the benefit of the school corporation, its faculty and students.
“We have a long partnership with Da-Lite, going back years and years,” said Hagg. “They have given some incredible equipment to our school district over the years and really partnered with us on some fantastic projects.”
Hagg told the the board that the most recent was the purchase of high-end whiteboards that the school corporation purchased at a discounted rate from the company.
“I think they were incredible boards that we were able to put in all of our new schools that we remodeled and built,” Hagg said. “Those boards in those classrooms are really great and they’ll serve our teachers and students for a long time.”
The company was represented at the meeting by representatives Jason Elder and Wendy Cox. Hagg said the company recently contacted the school corporation about an opportunity to receive some free equipment.
“They reached out to us and had some equipment that was coming out of service and they were offering that equipment to us,” said Hagg. “It was some podiums and some computer furniture, some power strips that was a total of 182 items with a dollar value of more than $22,000. They offered that to us and we graciously accepted and we’re really excited about it and we’re grateful to them for their continued partnership for sure.”
