Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9:12 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, South CR 700E, north of East CR 650S, Pierceton. Driver: Katie L. Riddle, 16, East CR 750S, Pierceton. Riddle was traveling south on South CR 700E when she noticed a deer standing in the roadway. Riddle was unable to avoid striking the deer. Damage up to $2,500.
4:17 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, South Packerton Road, south of East CR 300S, Warsaw. Driver: Kimberly D. Asbury, 36, Westchester Drive 4, North Manchester. Asbury was traveling south on South Packerton Road when an animal ran out into the roadway. As Asbury swerved her vehicle to avoid a collision, her vehicle went off the roadway and came to a rest in the ditch. Asbury and a passenger, Andrew S. Asbury, 26, North Manchester, were treated for minor cuts. Damage up to $25,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 1013 North Long Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Sharron L. Lantz, 74, East Cherokee Road, Syracuse. Lantz was backing into a parking space when she struck a parked, occupied vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:35 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 896 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw. Driver: unoccupied. A male subject said he was parked at a business when black truck backed into his vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, East CR 250N, near North CR 100E, Warsaw. Drivers: Madison K. Green, 18, North 5th Trail, North Webster; and Randy S. Hesser, 56, North CR 200W, Leesburg. Green was at a stop sign when she moved her vehicle over to allow a northbound semi on CR 100E to turn left. As she did so, her vehicle struck Hesser’s. Damage up to $5,000.
