SYM Financial, Zimmer Biomet Recognized By Warsaw MobilePack
WARSAW — Local businesses Zimmer Biomet and SYM Financial have been lauded for their generous contributions to the Warsaw MobilePack program. Feed My Starving Children MobilePack is Warsaw’s largest community service event, with more than 50 community sponsors. At the time of release, both Zimmer Biomet and SYM had contributed enough to reach the Hunger IMPACT level, collectively raising enough funds to feed more than 850 children for a year, while team members from both companies continue to fundraise.
In addition to corporate support and volunteering to pack meals, Zimmer Biomet team members have been creatively supporting FMSC with a number of different fundraisers, including a wall of gratitude, a dunk tank fundraiser, and a pi day pie sale. “I love to volunteer and financially support FMSC for the obvious reason of helping those who are less fortunate than me, but more importantly in my mind, is the fact that I can take my seven and nine-year-old kids to the packing events to instill traits of unselfishness, volunteerism, humility, and service,” said Nathan Sautter, associate director of Sports Medicine Product Management at Zimmer Biomet.
SYM Financial employees share similar motivations for helping others.
Elle Turley, sales and marketing coordinator for SYM financial said, “We choose to support Feed My Starving Children because it is near and dear to many of the hearts of SYM Financial. It also aligns with our core values. We work to serve not only our clients and colleagues with compassion but seek to make an impact any way we can in our communities as well.”
Megan Stone, Warsaw FMSC MobilePack chair, said the MobilePack helps reflect the giving nature of many in the Warsaw community. “We thank IMPACT sponsors SYM Financial and Zimmer Biomet for their leadership and commitment to this event,” she said. “This event is made possible by the generous commitment of the many sponsors in our community who strive to make a positive difference within our community and beyond.”
Warsaw community members will fight world hunger through a partnership between the Warsaw community and nonprofit Feed My Starving Children. A corps of 5,000 volunteers will make a difference by packing one million meals by hand from Oct. 17-20.
