Volleyball Results: Aug. 30
NORTHWOOD 3, CONCORD 0
The Lady Panthers earned a nice win in the Northern Lakes Conference, dropping the Minutemen 25-12, 25-15, 25-12 Thursday night at Concord.
Kate Rulli and Maddy Payne combined for 17 kills and three blocks. Ali Knepp continued to play well with eight digs and three aces, Whitney Gessinger led with 12 digs and Caroline Mullet sent up 25 assists.
NorthWood’s JV also earned a win in straights over Concord at 25-15, 25-12. Halle DeMien had 13 digs and Bre Wise had nine digs and five aces in the win.
NorthWood moves to 1-0 in the NLC and 12-3 overall, winners of its past nine matches. The Lady Panthers will return to action next Thursday at The Pit.
MACONAQUAH 3, TIPPECANOE VALLEY 2
Valley dropped its second match in the Three Rivers Conference in a razor tight contest against the Braves. Valley was up 2-0 after 25-20, 25-16 scores, but the visitors rallied to take the last three games 25-22, 25-16, 15-12.
Stats from the match were not immediately provided.
The Valley JV team moved to 9-2 overall with a 25-11, 25-16 win over Maconaquah.
Valley (4-6, 1-2 TRC) visit North Miami Tuesday night.
TRITON 3, CULVER 0
Triton has done well in Marshall County matchups this year, beating Culver 26-24, 25-14, 25-23.
In its second win inside the county lines in three tries, the Lady Trojans used nine combined kills from Lexia Hostrawser and Jaela Faulkner and eight combined aces from Dylanie Miller and Sydney Musilli to get the job done. Miller added 17 assists and Molly McFarland had 12 digs in the victory.
Triton’s JV came through with a 25-9, 25-16 sweep of the Cavaliers.
Triton (2-6, 1-1 HNAC) will visit North Judson next Wednesday.
PLYMOUTH 3, WAWASEE 0
Plymouth ripped through Wawasee in a NLC matchup 25-9, 25-6, 25-15.
Elizabeth Kleopfer played well for Wawasee with five digs, four assists and three kills. Beth Flannery had three assists, Brooke Heche six digs and Peyton Rookstool five digs.
Wawasee’s JV moved to 9-3 overall with a 25-17, 25-10 win over the Pilgrims. Emma Dippon had six kills and four aces for the Lady Warriors.
Wawasee’s freshman team stayed undefeated at 6-0 with a 25-22, 25-5 win over Plymouth. Laney Gross had 11 assists, four digs, two aces and two kills to lead the way. Dylan Konieczny added seven aces and seven kills.
Wawasee (5-6, 0-1 NLC) will stay in the conference with its next matchup next Thursday at Goshen.
WARSAW 3, GOSHEN 1
Warsaw moved to 2-0 in the NLC with a 21-25, 25-12, 25-10, 25-23 win against a grindy Goshen squad.
Betty Barnett had a big game for the Lady Tigers, getting 12 kills, four digs, four blocks and two aces. Kacy Bragg had 34 assists, three aces and three kills, Kennedy Lauck had 12 kills and five blocks, Kylie Smith 17 digs and seven aces, and Erin Peugh 13 digs and four aces.
The back-to-back NLC wins moves Warsaw to 11-2 on the season and another conference match on the horizon Tuesday at home against Northridge.

Jaiden Rocha was the points leader for Wawasee in the seventh grade matchup while Sara Timmons was noted with quality service for the Lady Warriors.
LAKEVIEW 8TH GRADE 2, CRESTVIEW 0
LAKEVIEW 8TH GRADE 2, RIVERVIEW 0
The Warsaw understudies swept both matchups, beating Crestview 25-23, 25-21 and then Riverview 25-4, 25-10.
In the Crestview win, Caitlin Patrick had 14 assists, four aces and four kills and Tessa Graney shined in the Riverview game with 12 aces and 10 assists.
LAKEVIEW 7TH GRADE 2, CRESTVIEW 0
LAKEVIEW 7TH GRADE 2, RIVERVIEW 0
Lakeview had similar success in the seventh grade contests, with a 25-20, 25-20 scoreline in the Crestview win and 25-21, 25-5 scoreline in the Riverview win.
Against Crestview, Colette Blackburn had 10 kills, Sadie Humbarger added three kills and Clara Porter had nine assists. In the Riverview win, Blackburn and Jael Simfukwe each had three kills and Kenzie Chivington had 11 aces.
LAKELAND CHRISTIAN ACADEMY JR. HIGH 2, GRANGER CHRISTIAN 0
LCA used eight aces from Maddie Silveus and five more from Addisyn Daley stand up in a 25-12, 25-14 win against Granger. Alexis Miller scored 12 straight service points, including five aces, during the victory march.
