Lady Tigers Fall Short Versus Huntington North
WINONA LAKE — Warsaw’s girls golf team hosted Huntington North Wednesday on a windy and rainy evening at Stonehenge Golf Club. The Tigers battled well but in the end fell just short scoring a 190 to Huntington North’s 183.
Madelyn Ray and Julie Hildebrand posted a pair of 47s to lead the home team, and Miriam Hagg and Grayson Kilburn were close behind with a pair of 48s. Izzy Ray’s 51 was the team’s fifth score. Huntington North scores were not available.
The Warsaw junior varsity continued a strong start with a score of 203, led by Izzie Vantwoud’s 49. Anna Morgan shot 50, and Marie Frazzetta and Delaney Byron both carded 52.
Warsaw’s varsity slips to 4-1 on the season. The Tigers play Thursday at Honeywell Golf Course against Tippecanoe Valley and Wabash beginning at 5 p.m.
