Nappanee Man Arrested For Child Molesting
KOSCIUSKO — A Nappanee man was recently arrested after a minor told a caseworker with the Indiana Department of Child Services that he inappropriately touched her.
Robert D. Stutzmen, 60, 8488 W. CR 1100N, Nappanee, is being charged with child molestation, a level 4 felony.
On June 18, a caseworker with the Indiana Department of Child Services received information of a child molest. The caseworker met with the victim at the Nappanee Police Department.
The victim advised she was staying the night at Stutzman’s Nappanee residence on June 2. She woke up in the morning and climbed into bed with Stutzmen. Stutzmen then inappropriately touched her. At that point, the minor left the room.
An officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department spoke with Stutzmen on June 19. He admitted that the minor came in his bed and he inappropriately touched her.
Stutzmen was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Aug. 7, with a $20,250 surety and cash bond.
