NorthWood freshman Cybil Stillson fired a 2-under-par 70 at Chestnut Hills on the way to the individual title at the Canterbury Invitational Monday.
The Lady Panthers placed third at the meet with a 327 behind team champion Homestead Blue’s 299 and the Homestead JV’s runner-up 308 score, while Warsaw carded 368 for third place and NorthWood’s JV carded 370 for fifth in the team standings.
Stillson broke numerous program records with her 70 at the meet, most notably the program’s individual 18-hole score and its individual 18-hole score in relation to par. She carded an incredible seven birdies at the round, another program-low, on the way to her individual-medalist honors ahead of Homestead’s Madi Dabagia and her even-par 72. Even more impressively, the NorthWood freshman opened her round 5 over through five holes before going 7 under on the remaining 13 holes at Chestnut Hills. Mackenzie Weaver also broke into the top 10 individually for the Panthers with a score of 80. Kirsten Schrock carded 87 playing in the fifth flight for NorthWood, while Abby Slabaugh and Delaney Davis both shot 90.
Warsaw was led by senior Miriam Hagg’s 86, followed by Grayson Kilburn’s 91. Julia Hildebrand posted a 93, while Izzy and Madelyn Ray rounded out scoring with a pair of 98s.
NorthWood’s JV team was paced by Makenna Gall’s 89, followed by Kylee Gall’s 90. Breanna Goss shot 94, and Abigail Richner turned in a 97.
