Warsaw Woman Arrested For Battery, Intimidation
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman is facing battery and intimidation charges after a victim stated the woman injured her and then threatened her not to contact the police.
Jessica Dawn Konkle, 38, 504 W. Center St., Warsaw, is being charged with intimidation, a level 6 felony; interference with the reporting of a crime, a class A misdemeanor; domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; and domestic battery with a prior, a level 6 felony.
On July 21, a female went to the Warsaw Police Department to report a crime. She stated that on July 20, she and Konkle were having a verbal argument. When she attempted to leave the residence, Konkle pushed her which caused her to strike her head on a refrigerator.
The female victim stated she attempted to leave the residence again when Konkle grabbed her arm, causing pain and bruising. Konkle then took the victim’s phone away to prevent her from calling 911. According to the victim, Konkle made a threat to commit a forcible felony to her if she contacted the police. The officer was able to observe bruises on the victim’s arm that were consistent with the story.
The officer spoke with Konkle who stated she did not remember the altercation. Konkle also advised that she has taken the victim’s phone in the past.
Konkle has a previous conviction of battery causing bodily injury in Kosciusko County.
Konkle was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on July 30, with a $3,750 surety and cash bond.
