Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:06 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, SR 19, north of North 900W, Nappanee. Drivers: Lynli Hockert, 53, Van Buren Street, Nappanee; and David Meredith, 65, CR 900S, Akron. Hockert swerved to miss a bicyclist in the roadway and struck Meredith’s vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
8:19 a.m. Friday, July 27, Husky Trail, south of Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Susan D. Pelz, 55, East CR 225S, Warsaw; and Larry L. Plummer, 52, North CR 400E, Warsaw. Pelz was exiting a parking lot. making a left turn to head east on Husky Trail. As she made the turn, her vehicle collided with Plummer’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
2:39 p.m. Thursday, July 26, Anchorage Road, west of Anchorage Point Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Bonnie S. Shepherd, 60, West CR 750S, Claypool; Julie M. Valentine, 63, Deerfield Path, Warsaw; and Jessica D. Peters, 42, East Blossom Lane, Warsaw. Shepherd was traveling west on Anchorage Road when traffic came to an abrupt time. She was not able to stop in time, causing her vehicle to rear-end Valentine’s vehicle. The force of the collision caused Valentine’s vehicle to rear-end Peters’ vehicle. Valentine and a passenger in her vehicle, Kyle G. Hill, 36, North Webster, complained of neck pain but refused EMS. Peters complained of some neck pain but refused EMS. Damage up to $10,000.
1:32 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 375 S. Cleveland St., Warsaw. Driver: Curtis G. Stienbarger, 62, North Greenwood Drive, Warsaw. Stienbarger was backing out of a parking spot when he struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
