Dixie Day Festival This Saturday
NORTH WEBSTER — Dixie Day Festival is Saturday, July 28, along SR 13 in downtown North Webster, down West Washington Street to the Mermaid Festival grounds and at Dixie Landing in North Webster Town Park. It celebrates the Dixie sternwheel paddleboat, the oldest one in Indiana.
7 a.m.-4 p.m. — Free parking behind North Webster Church of God, 306 S. Main St.
7-10 a.m. — All you can eat breakfast at the North Webster Fire department, 202 N. Main St. Free will donation goes to rescue equipment and tools.
8 a.m. — Sanctioned Dixie Day 5K Run will begin at North Webster Community Center, 301 N. Main St. and end at North Webster Town Park, 401 S. Dixie Drive. Registration starts at 6:45 a.m. Team Triumph will participate.
10 a.m.-3 p.m. — Car, Truck, Motorcycle and Tractor Show on West Washington Street. Winners announced at 2:30 p.m. Head through the food court to reach.
10 a.m.-4 p.m.
North Webster Chamber Information Tent — Closest to the corner of Main and East Washington Street on Castle lawn, 100 Block of South Main Street. Pick up free schedules and maps and other info. Buy a souvenir.
Arts & Crafts Fair — Castle lawn 100 block of South Main Street. Juried fair to shop for creative art and crafts pieces.
Direct Sales Vendors — Castle lawn 100 block of South Main Street.
Open Air Market — Visit all the vendor booths in front of the North Webster Community Center, 301 N. Main St. including buying Heart of the Community Auction tickets and Friends of the Library Book Sale 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Heart of the Lakes Antique Tent — Half price in the tent, 10 percent off inside the antique mall, 132 N. Main St.
Merchant Specials — Visit all North Webster merchants to shop til you drop.
Food Court — Food vendors are along West Washington Street starting at SR 13.
Vintage Snowmobile Show — Mermaid Festival Grounds, West Washington Street.
Lakes Area Boat Dealers Show — End of season deals on 30 boats displayed at Mermaid Festival Grounds, West Washington Street.
1, 2:30, 6, 7:30 and 8 p.m. — Dixie boat cruises, North Webster Town Park, 401 S. Dixie Drive. Free parking across the street and in the lot behind Dixie Haven Resort, East Himes Street.
