Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9:44 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, South CR 400E, west of South CR 450E, Pierceton. Driver: Toby L. Thomas, 38, East CR 350S, Pierceton. Thomas told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on CR 400S when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Damage up to $5,000.
6:53 p.m. Sunday, July 22, SR 13, south of East CR 900S, Sidney. Drivers: Tanner Patrick, 21, East CR 850S, Claypool; William Mignery, 31, East Iris Drive, Syracuse. Patrick told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 13 when he looked down to pull his pant leg out of his boot. When he looked up, the collision occurred. Mignery told police he crested the hill, driving his vehicle northbound when he saw Patrick’s vehicle coming at him over the center line. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:23 a.m. Thursday, July 26, North SR 13, North Webster. Driver: Bradley R. Slone, 31, East North Street, Larwill. Slone told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on Syracuse-Webster road when his vehicle hit a patch of gravel on a curve, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway the right side. His vehicle went sideways into a field, crossed SR 13, up an embankment and struck a parked vehicle. The collision caused that parked vehicle to hit another parked vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
