Cherub Of Hope Garden Seeks New Members
WARSAW — The Cherub of Hope Garden in Kosciusko County will soon cultivate a beautiful, peaceful memorial garden where families can honor, remember, and cherish the children that left their arms too soon.
To help make this dream a reality, the group is currently seeking five to seven board members and additional committee members to join in the planning efforts.
The next committee meeting is scheduled at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Wildman Business Group, located at 800 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
Sadly, child loss has affected around 20 percent of families in our community. It is my dream that we can collaborate together to build this garden as a place for so many families to heal.
My name is Lindsay Rapsavage and on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, I became a bereaved parent. Losing Lainey Kay Rapsavage was the most difficult time in my life. As time goes on I have realized that there is a need for a memorial garden in my hometown of Kosciusko County.
Since losing Lainey I have felt that God’s mission for me is to open up a peaceful sanctuary to honor, remember, and cherish all children that have left our arms too soon. I feel that a bereaved parent’s biggest fear is that their child will be forgotten. Creating this garden will not only be a place to remember and honor, but also serve as a place where families can try to find their new normal.
