WCS To Host Parent Tech Informational Night
WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools invites parents to attend a night of free learning in the fields of digital learning and safety for youth and teens. The event will take place from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. Monday, July 23, in the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center.
Two guest speakers will attend the event to share information on youth and teen technology use. Speakers will include Adam Welcome, a champion of building classroom relationships with students in a digital age, and Dr. Lori Desautels, assistant professor at Butler University’s College of Education focusing on brain research in adolescents.
The event is free to the community and parents with students of all ages are encouraged and welcomed to attend. Snacks will be provided during the event.
In addition, parents will be able to ask questions and receive information on the WCS iPad insurance plan. Sign-ups for insurance will not be available during the event. This event was made possible through the Summer of E-Learning grant award by the Indiana Department of Education.
