Oak And Alley Planned For Center Street Expansion
WARSAW — Since opening in 2014, Warsaw’s downtown location for cocktails and custom-made burgers, Oak and Alley, has been growing to the point of bursting outside of its narrow Buffalo Street confines.
Even with outside dining, courtesy of a partnership with the City of Warsaw, the upscale burger restaurant is looking for more space and should be operating out of a new Center Street locale by perhaps October.
At 2308 E. Center St., Warsaw, the site of the former Great Wall Chinese restaurant, the marquee in the front of the property reads “Oak and Alley coming soon.”
According to local reports, the restaurant, owned by David Gustafson, will experience an increase of seating by as much as triple the amount of customers currently available at the downtown location of 114 S. Buffalo St.
Quality food and a large cocktail selection is a staple of Oak and Alley’s business model and the burger component is overseen by Chef Chris Prater.
The downtown location is a 21 and older restaurant, due to the alcohol service. However, reports indicate that the new restaurant will have both options available with the addition of a family dining area.
