Four Arrested After Drug Bust
KOSCIUSKO — Four individuals from Kosciusko County were arrested after officers discovered methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a residence.
Brian Roy Bradberry, 19, 29 EMS T9 Lane, Leesburg, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; dealing in marijuana, a level 6 felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony; and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.
Tyler Logan Rex, 19, 702 E. Nokomis Drive, Syracuse, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; and visiting a common nuisance, a class B misdemeanor.
Kristeen Jeanette Hicks, 39, 29 EMS T9 Lane, Leesburg, is being charged with maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
Bradley Ryan Searfoss, 39, 29 EMS T9 Lane, Leesburg, is being charged with maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony.
On May 29, an arrest warrant was issued in Kosciusko Circuit Court for Bradberry with charges in dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 2, officers arrived at a residence to take Bradberry into custody for his outstanding warrant. Upon arrival, officers observed Hicks, Bradberry’s mother, exit a vehicle that was parked in the driveway.
Officers asked Hicks if Bradberry was home. Hicks stated that he was inside the residence.
While apprehending Bradberry, officers saw a grinder laying on a nightstand and detected the odor of marijuana. An officer stayed outside of the residence with Searfoss, who was sitting in a vehicle.
Searfoss gave officers consent to search a vehicle on the property. Inside the vehicle, officers discovered a flashlight that contained a plastic bag with a crystal substance and a syringe. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine. Searfoss admitted the methamphetamine and syringe belonged to him.
Bradberry admitted to officers that there was approximately three ounces of marijuana and digital scales in the residence. He also stated that he occasionally sells marijuana for about $200 per ounce.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers also interviewed Rex, who was inside the residence when officers arrived. Rex stated he had stayed at the residence over the weekend and smoked marijuana. Officers discovered a marijuana smoking device and empty plastic bags that tested positive for methamphetamine in Rex’s backpack.
Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence and found numerous plastic bags that contained marijuana, THC cartridges, a plastic bag of methamphetamine and marijuana paraphernalia. The marijuana discovered in the residence weighed more than 30 grams.
In Hicks’ bedroom, officers found a marijuana smoking device. Hicks admitted the device belonged to her.
All four were booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on July 2, with $5,250 surety and cash bonds.
