BREAKING: One Injured In Crash

LEESBURG — One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident today at approximately 10:23 a.m. Monday, July 2. The accident was at Armstrong Road and CR 200E, east of Leesburg.
The female driver was taken to Parkview Hospital, Warsaw, by private vehicle. She reportedly complained of pain to the hip.
Initial reports indicate the driver of a Heavy Duty Dodge Ram was westbound on Armstrong Road when the female driver of the Hyundai Tucson, southbound on CR 200E, failed to see the truck and pulled out in front of it.
The truck struck the driver’s side of the Hyundai with both vehicles ending up in the cornfield on the southwest corner of the intersection. The collision also caused the fifth-wheel flatbed trailer being pulled by the Dodge to come unhitched and hit the back of the truck.
The driver of the truck and his passenger were not injured.
Lutheran EMS and Leesburg Fire Department responded. The accident is being investigated by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
