Touch-A-Truck Draws Curious, Pint-Sized ‘Big Equipment Enthusiasts’

WARSAW — Warsaw Parks & Recreation Department’s annual Touch-A-Truck event in the parking lot of Warsaw’s Center Lake on Saturday, June 2, was a popular event for enthusiastic youngsters who could barely contain their excitement at climbing up on giant construction or emergency services vehicles.
The event was held from noon until 3 p.m.
Some of the vehicles present included a police SUV, an ambulance, skid loader, backhoe, mixer truck and vacuum truck. A cement mixer from a local concrete company, as well as a large skid loader from a Warsaw-based excavating company were popular with the “under three” crowd.
Snacks from a local car dealership, as well as a local Mexican restaurant helped provide the truck aficionados plenty of fuel to keep on climbing.
