Nappanee Man Jailed On Drug And Theft Charges Following Search Warrant
NAPPANEE — A joint investigation by the Nappanee Police Department, the Indiana State Police and the Marshall County Drug Task Force ultimately lead to a the arrest of David Chadwell, 55, Nappanee.
Around 12:25 p.m. today, May 31, a search warrant was served at Chadwell’s residence located at 651 W. Centennial St., Nappanee. Approximately five grams of suspected methamphetamine, one gram of suspected heroin, narcotic pills, numerous items of drug paraphernalia and a stolen Sea Doo Wave Runner were located as a result of this warrant.
Chadwell was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, level 6 felony; possession of a controlled substance, level 6 felony; possession of a controlled substance, class A misdemeanor; maintaining a common nuisance, level 6 felony; and theft, class A misdemeanor. Chadwell was transported to the Elkhart County Jail.
This investigation began as a result of numerous citizen complaints received by the Nappanee Police Department.
