Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

10:11 p.m. Monday, May 14, North CR 300W, north of West CR 900N, Milford. Driver: Amy J. Smith, 44, Meadows, Nappanee. Smith was traveling south on 300W when she swerved to avoid striking a tree that had fallen on the roadway. Her vehicle left the east side of the road and slid sideways into an iron corner post. Damage up to $10,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

8:34 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 421 North Maple Ave. Driver: Cynthia A. Shelton, 71, Fairlane Drive, Warsaw. Shelton was driving south in Oakwood Cemetery when she turned to tight, causing her vehicle to strike a sign on the corner of an intersection. Damage up to $2,500.

6:17 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, North SR 15, north of Plaza Drive. Drivers: Alexis J. Myers, 19, East Springfield Drive, Warsaw; and Rachelle A. Mabee, 51, Western Drive, Winona Lake. Myers stated that she became unconscious while driving, crossing the median into northbound SR 15 traffic. Myers’ vehicle crossed in front of Mabee’s vehicle and sideswiped her. Myers was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for medical evaluation. Damage up to $5,000.

5:39 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2211 East Center St. Driver: Emma N. Marshall, 16, Southfield Road, Winona Lake. Reed was attempting to back out of a parking space in a parking lot when she struck a parked vehicle behind her. Damage up to $2,500.
