Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:58 a.m. Monday, May 7, West CR 900N and North SR 15, Milford. Drivers: Patrick E. Dowty, 22, County Road 44, Goshen; and Andrea Barriga Almenara, 28, Toledo Road, Elkhart. Dowty’s vehicle struck Barriga Almenara’s vehicle when Dowty was backing his vehicle up to allow a semi to make a turn. Damage up to $2,500.
9:12 p.m. Sunday, May 6, East US 30, west of South CR 450E, Warsaw. Driver: Jennifer A. Despins, 54, Division Street, East Troy, WI. Despins advised that her vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
12:58 p.m. Saturday, May 5, East Old Road 30 and North Superior Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Tracey D. McClelland, 38, East Ridge Drive, Warsaw; and Kaci Raymer, 33, Ontario Lane, Warsaw. McClelland’s vehicle rear-ended Raymer’s vehicle. One passenger from McClelland’s vehicle was transported to Parkview Hospital by EMS. All other occupants, with the exception of McClelland, were taken by private vehicle to Parkview Warsaw. Damage up to $5,000.
5:02 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, North Walnut Street, south of West Pleasant Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jerry L. Davis, 30, Millers Drive, Mentone; and Susan K. Wert, 55, North CR 825E, Mentone. Davis was driving a personally-operated wrecker. He was backing out from the address of 422 N. Walnut St. and as he was beginning to move forward, Wert’s vehicle came from the south and collided with the side of Davis’ vehicle. Damage up to $50,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
2:57 a.m. Monday, May 7, Lake Street, Warsaw. Driver: Robert M. Porter, 21, South CR 25W, Warsaw. Porter’s vehicle struck a parked vehicle as he was backing out of a parking spot at Wilby’s. Damage up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:29 p.m. Saturday, May 5, Park Avenue and Auditorium Avenue, Winona Lake. Driver: Michael E. Bodnar, 60, Bristol Street, South Bend. Bodnar advised he was pulling alongside a curb to stop for a delivery and caught the front left side of a parked vehicle with the rear right tailgate safety bar of his truck. Damage up to $5,000.
