NorthWood Track Star Yoder To Run For Butler
NAPPANEE – Brayton Yoder has left quite a mark as both a football and track star at NorthWood High School.
The fleet-footed senior will now take his talents on to Butler University to compete on the track for the Bulldogs.
Yoder is a standout sprinter for coach Mark BeMiller’s track team and was a star tailback for coach Nate Andrews’ football program.
The blazing Yoder has been a two-time team MVP and a three-time All-NLC selection in track for the Panthers. He is also a two-time sectional champion and a two-time State Track finalist. He is a four-year NorthWood Scholar Athlete.
Yoder helped NorthWood go 14-1 on the gridiron in 2016 and finish as Class 4-A state runner-up. He rushed for 1,387 yards his junior season and scored 18 total touchdowns. He was a standout tailback this past fall as one of 19 seniors for the Panthers, who finished 7-4.
Yoder was the Offensive MVP for coach Andrews’ talented team in 2017. He was also All-State his junior season and Academic All-State too.
Yoder is the son of Kelly Hattery, Ryan Hattery and Cory Yoder.
Butler, which is coached by Matt Roe, competes in the Big East Conference.
