Warsaw Softball: Tigers Drop Twinbill
WARSAW – The Warsaw bats struggled to get going in a doubleheader loss to Huntington Saturday.
The hosts Tigers lost the opener 2-1 before dropping the nightcap 12-0.
Warsaw managed just three hits in the opener. Kendra Arnold got the pitching win for the Vikings as she struck out seven.
Carmen Albertson led the offense for the Tigers with two hits.
Courtney Chookie took the loss in the circle despite allowing just six hits over seven innings. The Warsaw junior ace had four strikeouts and one walk.
Arnold also led the offense for the Vikings with two hits.
Warsaw managed just three hits in the second game. Sydney Selvage went six innings for the Vikings in the circle with three strikeouts.
Adara Frey, along with Chookie and Kennedy Tennant, each had a hit for the Tigers. Tennant took the pitching loss.
Warsaw, now 5-8, will host Elkhart Memorial in NLC action Monday at 5:30 p.m.
