Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:25 p.m. Monday, April 16, US 30 and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Bryan D. Brumbaugh, 30, South CR 175W, Warsaw, Steven Bonnell, 60, James Court, Avon, Conn., Shalin A. Parikh, 24, Kinney Drive, Warsaw. Brumbaugh told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on US 30 and merged into the left turn lane to turn west on Anchorage Road. He said he was in the middle of the intersection when his green light turned red. After remaining stopped in the intersection, Brumbaugh said he thought the intersection was clear so he proceeded to finish his turn and was hit by Bonnell’s vehicle. The impact caused Brumbaugh’s vehicle to roll into a drainage ditch and also caused Bonnell’s vehicle to strike Parikh’s vehicle, which was stopped at the red traffic light on Anchorage Road. All three vehicles had to be towed from the scene and Bonnell complained of head pain but was released by medics at the scene. Damage up to $100,000.
2:11 p.m. Monday, April 16, North Roosevelt Street and East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Dorothy E. Apeland, 56, North CR 400E, Warsaw, Wendy O. Wylie, 46, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Apeland told police she was driving her vehicle westbound on East Main Street and came to a stop at the stop sign at Roosevelt Street. She said she did not see Wylie’s vehicle and pulled her vehicle into the intersection, causing the collision with Wylie’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
