Boys golf
Triton’s boys golf team moved to a 3-0 start with a win over Culver Community at Mystic Hills Thursday night.
The Trojans carded a 167 score to Culver’s 224 on the Cavs’ home course.
Beau Hepler fired a 3-over-par 38 playing in the fifth grouping to lead Triton, while Chase Butler shot 41, and Isaac Wall, Keegan Westafer and Carter Kuntz all shot 44 for the consistent Trojans.

The Trojans’ JV also won with a score of 182, while Culver was unable to field a complete JV team.
Triton is back in action at the Don Dicken meet at Stonehenge Saturday.
Track and field
Triton’s girls track and field team split a three-way Hoosier North Athletic Conference meet with Culver Community and Winamac, while the boys team came up empty-handed in both legs of the three-way Thursday night.
The Lady Trojans put up 50 points behind Winamac’s pile-topping 90 but ahead of Culver’s 28.
Charlotte Morris finished first in the discus with a throw of 99’7” and second in the shot with a winning put of 29’4”, while Abbey Viers finished third in the shot put with a 29’1” toss and fourth in the discus with a 75’3” throw. Jaela Faulkner won the vault with a 7’6” mark, Abigail Powell won the 100-meter hurdles with a winning time of 17 seconds flat, and Baylee McIntire clocked 53.2 seconds to win the 400 meters. Powell finished second in the 300 hurdles in 1:07 and recorded a 14.3 time for fourth in the 100, while McIntire was third in the 200 in 29.9, and Viers and Anna Hill tied for second in the high jump with a 4’6” clearance.
The Trojans finished with a team score of 21, meanwhile, behind both Culver’s 67 and Winamac’s 74.
Josiah Page racked up points in both hurdles races and the 800 for Triton, finishing second in the 300 intermediates with a 49.3 time, and third in the 110 highs (20.3) and the 800 (2:31). Hunter McIntire recorded a 15’7” distance to place third in the long jump, Parker Alfred tied for second in the high jump with a 5’2” height, and Triton’s 4×800 relay finished second with a 10:50 stop.
Softball
Triton’s softball team scored two runs in its last chance in the bottom of the seventh to win its second straight by a narrow 11-10 margin over Goshen.
Nicole Sechrist got the win inside the circle, and Taytum Hargrave homered in a game that featured five lead changes.

The Lady Trojans move to 2-1 and will host Hoosier North foe Knox Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Baseball
Triton’s baseball team suffered a 24-0 loss at Plymouth Thursday night.
Max Slusser’s double in the third inning was the Trojans’ only hit against Plymouth starter Cole Filson in the shutout. Triton finished with just three hits in the loss as the Trojans dropped to 1-1.
The Pilgrims (2-2) collected 20 hits and chased Dylan Hensley in the third, as the Triton ace left the mound with the Trojans trailing 13-0. Already leading 9-0, Plymouth plated 11 runs in that big third inning to break the game wide open.
Triton returns to the field with a makeup at Tippecanoe Valley tonight.
