North Webster Community Public Library Announces Upcoming Events
NORTH WEBSTER — April 8 to 14 is National Library Week and North Webster Community Public Library is celebrating with a full slate of activities.
The headliner for the week is the Beverly Lewis book signing event 10 a.m. Thursday, April 12. The public is invited to come and meet this award-winning bestselling author as she talks about her latest book The Road Home. Lewis is a leading writer of Amish fiction, having authored more than 80 books throughout her career.
Personally signed copies of her new book will be available to purchase. Free tickets for the event are available at the library’s circulation desk or can be reserved by calling (574) 834-7122.
Also that week Rodney Wolfe of the Kosciusko Kettleheads will be at the library 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 to present a program on how to home brew craft beers. He will explain the process from start to finished product including ingredients, equipment and supplies, and brewing resources.
At 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, Amy and Brandon Dennis will discuss their recent trip to Israel. Through photographs and narrative, they will share the places they visited and the sights they saw that made the Bible come alive for them.
Concluding the week, artist Kayla Hayden will return for another Coffee and Canvas class 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14. She will provide step-by-step instructions for painting an inspirational spring scene. The cost to attend is $18 and includes canvas, painting supplies, and refreshments. Pre-registration with payment must be received by April 10. Sign up and pay at the circulation desk.
Also at 1 p.m. Saturday, Lego Club meets in the Youth Services Department. Kids ages five to 12 have fun building with Legos. The Legos are provided. Children under age nine should be accompanied by an adult.
