Milford Public Library Announces Upcoming Events
MILFORD — The Milford Public Library will host the following events in April:
CELEBRATE NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK APRIL 8 TO 14
Milford Public Library joins libraries nationwide in celebrating National Library Week April 8 to 14.
Libraries aren’t just places to borrow books or study—they’re also creative and engaging community centers where people can collaborate to develop their skills and passions.
Milford Public Library has evolved to better meet the needs of our community. All kinds of residents – students, families, small business owners, and more – depend on resources offered by the library.
By offering resources like e-books and nutrition classes, materials for language learners and programs directed toward youth in the community, our library helps lead the community.
To learn more about how Milford Public Library serves the community, call (574) 658-4312, visit us at 101 N. Main St., or visit the library’s website at http://www.milford.lib.in.us/.
TEEN BOOK CLUB
Teen Book Club will meet at noon April 14 at Milford Public Library. Join the club as we watch a movie starring Emma Roberts and Dave Franco. Enjoy free snacks, then talk about our newest book club selection If I Stay by Gayle Forman. Read with us by calling (574) 658-4312, messaging our Facebook page, or e-mailing us at [email protected].
LEGO CREW
Teens and children older than four years old are invited to meet with the Lego Crew from 10:30 a.m. to noon April 14. Lego Crew is a fun, relaxed way to play with hundreds of Legos. Lego Crew is the perfect way to let children use their imagination and improve their engineering skills. No registration or library card is needed.
STORY TIME CELEBRATES LIBRARIES DURING NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK
Children ages 3 to 6 will learn about the importance of libraries at Story Time at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 11 and 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12. Kids will make flowers out of recycled book pages, listen to stories, and share a delicious snack. If you’d like to attend Story Time, please call (574) 658-4312 or email [email protected].
Starting Monday, April 9, children are welcome to visit the children’s department to pretend to be librarians. The department will have a mini library set up that children can use to pretend to check out books.

Milford Public Library will close at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 for a staff in-service. Please return materials in the drop boxes. The library will reopen at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11. Thank you for your cooperation.
