KHRA To Host Annual Conference For Supervisors, HR Professionals
WARSAW — Keynote speaker, Ron Lewis with Tapestry Solutions for Inclusion, will take the stage on Friday, April 20 at the annual Kosciusko Human Resources Association conference geared toward developing leadership skills of area business leaders and Human Resources professionals.
Lewis will help leaders examine some of the phrases well-meaning people say that widen the diversity gap and make the workplace less inclusive. The morning sessions will also include topics focused on mental health in the workforce and professionally growing ourselves.
Throughout the day, participants will learn skills and strategies that assist in various aspects of management and HR. Local speakers will include Allyn Decker of Warsaw Ivy Tech Community College, Ted Westerhof and Mary Gerard of Bowen Center, Angela Johnson of Faegre Baker & Daniels and Anthony Stites, J.D. of Barrett McNagny.
The afternoon will provide two professional tracks. The supervisor track will focus on how supervisors can work better with HR and handling difficult conversations with employees.
